i got it bad for usher.

6 long years later, i was finally reconnected with my long lost love, usher raymond. everyone, well at least i think everyone, has their celebrity crush or twitter-worth following favorite music artist. mine is usher and i don't see that changing anytime soon, although i was very disappointed i wasn't the lucky chosen girl to dance onstage with none other than the very best dancer, usher. ironically, she had an usher tattoo, which was his reasoning for picking her.. that and her size o frame.. o well, maybe someday. i cannot think of a better entertainer and a more  eye-catching concert. the entire 4 hours of dancing, singing and acting was worth every penny spent. i'm already looking forward to the next usher tour. it can't come soon enough!

creative paper.

for about a year now i've been attempting to become creative with paper. last christmas was my first piece at becoming 'creative'. i designed out christmas 'card' as a magazine cover and used pictures and short titles to describe garrett and i's last year together. i think it worked out nicely, but now it's november and time to be thinking of another creative way to tell our story of 2010! i'm stuck! surely, something will come to mind before sending out another 100 'letters'. if you don't get your 'creative paper' until january, it means i didn't come up with anything worth sending out til' later december- apologies in advance.

since last december, i've designed wedding, baby shower, anniversary party and birthday invitations for several friends. here are a few pictures of a wedding invitation i designed for garrett's cousin's wedding this month. lately, i'm a big fan of pockets. love them. it's like a tiny little present- and who doesn't like presents?

wine & dine

wine fest 2010
my first wine fest was a success! not only was the night filled with great wine, great friends and fabulous food, but we managed to make it to almost every wine stop thanks to the guys. let's just say wine fest turned into competitive game. their idea of the adventure was to be the first 'wine festers' ever to have a glass of wine at every wine fest vendor, rather than sit, relax and enjoy the spirits. we also experienced occasional downpours, but that didn't stop the fun! above are some of the most fabulous ladies i know- and they love wine just as much as i do!

dog day
last week, one of my co-workers at the orpheum theatre got a baby chocolate lab and brought her to work for everyone to see. she's the cutest! our boss, mary, decided to declare fridays as 'dog day.' i'm extremely excited for 4-30-10, as it will be my very first dog day at work. mr. hadley briscoe will be going to his first day of work. to get a more professional look-he visited the groomer last week to get a workplace hairdo. needless to say, hadley has been practicing his office personality while i work on designing wedding invitations at home. i'll keep you  updated on how dog day goes!
